I can’t say I disagree. In fact, DeepSeek’s response was rather similar, except it was not necessarily discussing itself.

This does not add up

I believe I have actually been clear about my DeepSeek hesitation. Everyone states it’s the most effective and inexpensively qualified AI ever (everyone other than Alibaba), but I do not know if that’s true. To be fair, there’s a significant amount of information on GitHub about DeekSeek’s open-source LLMs. They a minimum of appear to show that DeepSeek did the work.

But I do not think they expose how these models were trained. In either case, I do not have evidence that DeepSeek trained its designs on OpenAI or anyone else’s large language designs - or at least I didn’t till today.
