Before forming Toto its members worked as session musicians for Steely Dan[3] Seals and Crofts[4] Boz Skaggs and Sonny and Cher. The guitarist Steve Lukather was the band’s lead singer.

About Toto

Toto was formed in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro, David Paich (who at the time were also well-known studio musicians with Boz Scaggs) and bassist/singer Bobby Kimball. The name comes from the Latin word that means “all inclusive,” the group was intent on exploring all styles of music.

The third album from Toto, Turn Back, was not a success in 1981. However they came back with their fourth album, Isolation, which contained two hits including the title track and Roseanna. The album and the tour helped them become a household name all over the world.

After a short hiatus, Toto returns with the album Fahrenheit. The album is a departure from the ballads that were featured on previous albums, and features some heavy rock. This album was their first album to go platinum in North America.

In the course of recording the fifth album the group loses their manager and is faced with financial problems. They decide to record a brand new album and change their name an alternative producer. Joseph Williams, the son of John Williams, the legendary film composer and actress Barbara Ruick from 1950s, replaces Fergie Frederiksen as lead vocalist. Joseph Williams is a natural frontman, and provides the band with a much-needed boost.

In 1999, the band release Mindfields and begin an extensive worldwide tour. After a few months in Europe they travel to Japan where the shows are sold out. After a short break, Toto resumes recording and continues to record their first live album, Absolutely Live in 1993 which includes the cover of Weezer’s track Hash Pipe in response to the band performing their hit song Africa on a recent tour. Toto’s touring band is rounded out by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and 스포츠토토 사이트 keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.

After Isolation Toto was put on a hiatus. This gave the members of the group a chance to pursue solo projects. In 1996, the band came back together to tour and record an album. It was the first time in more than a decade that all the original band members were on stage.

The next year, Toto toured together with Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band. This was the last time that all original Toto members Toto were performing together. The band broke up after this. However, Toto reunited in 2010 to perform a benefit for the ALS Foundation. It was the first time in more than 31 year that all of Toto’s founding members performed together. In addition to the original members, keyboardist Greg Tambu filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate filled in for Shem Von Schroeck.

Toto is among the most popular bands in rock music. They have had megahits like “Rosanna,” Hold The Line,” and “Africa,” which has been certified as platinum 8X. With a wide range of influences, ranging from progressive rock to world beats to soul and jazz, the group continues to please their fans with their energetic arena rock.

Despite their fame the group had to face a number of challenges in their final years. In 2002, drummer Greg Phillinganes left the group, and keyboardist David Paich took a leave of absence due to health reasons. Drummer Shem von Schroeck was brought in and the band was not the same without Paich and Phillinganes. In 2008, Toto decided to take a break from touring after changes to the lineup and a disappointing string of releases. The group returned to the road in 2012 after the release of the album 40 Trips Around The Sun.

The album was a return to their best form, and the tour that came with it featured sold-out shows in North America and Europe. Toto’s reunion gained momentum with the return of bassist Shem Von Schroeck and guitarist Steve Lukather.

Toto’s music is as relevant today as it was in the 1970s and 1980s, as it has gained new fans with each passing generation. Their success has made Toto an everlasting fixture in pop culture. Their live shows are always full of energy and excitement.
